For this study, researchers analyzed medical data for more than 7,300 participants from the [SveDem](https://atlaslongitudinaldatasets.ac.uk/datasets/svedem) (Swedish Register for Cognitive Disorders/Dementia) database. Selected study participants had both AFib and Alzheimer’s disease.
