## Executive GIST (TL;DR)
- The Clinical Center of the University of Pécs implemented an integrated care pathway—the **Pécs model**—combining **early intervention** during neonatal hospitalization with structured long-term **neurodevelopmental follow-up** and physiotherapy up to 2 years of age. - Retrospective single-center analysis included 27,378 newborns treated between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2025; the institutional preterm birth rate was 14.98%, consistent with its role as a regional level III center. - Preterm infants had significantly lower Apgar scores, lower birth weights, and longer hospital stays compared with term infants (p<0.001); perinatal indicators improved with increasing gestational age. - Early in-hospital interventions were delivered to 1,308 newborns and comprised passive mobilization, gentle handling, soft massage, orofacial training, and neurohabilitation when indicated. - A total of 4,085 children received neurodevelopmental and physiotherapy care within the institutional program; children were followed until 2 years of age at the Institute of Medical Genetics’ Neurodevelopmental Outpatient Clinic. - Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis tests, with significance at p<0.05; analyses were performed in IBM SPSS Statistics v32.0. - The authors conclude that the integrated, multidisciplinary **Pécs model** provides an effective framework for care of preterm infants and supports the importance of organized long-term follow-up for favorable neurodevelopmental outcomes. - Specific study limitations were not detailed in the source abstract.

Multidisciplinary care models integrating early intervention and structured follow-up play a key role in achieving more favorable outcomes. **Objective:** The aim of this study was to present the integrated care model ("Pécs model") applied at the Clinical Center of the University of Pécs, which combines early intervention with long-term neurodevelopmental and physiotherapy follow-up, and to describe institutional follow-up data. **Method:** In this retrospective, single-center study, we analyzed data from newborns treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Pécs between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2025. Demographic, perinatal and neonatal parameters, as well as the types and frequency of neurodevelopmental and physiotherapy care were evaluated using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Group differences were assessed using the Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test, with statistical significance set at p<0.05. Statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics (version: 32.0). **Results:** The study population included 27 378 newborns. The rate of preterm birth was 14.98%, reflecting the institution's role as a regional level III care center. Preterm infants had significantly lower Apgar scores, lower birth weights, and longer hospital stays (p<0.001). Perinatal indicators improved with increasing gestational age. Early intervention and structured neurodevelopmental and physiotherapy follow-up were widely implemented. A total of 4085 children received neurodevelopmental and physiotherapy care. Early intervention during hospitalization was applied in 1308 newborns and included passive mobilization, gentle handling, soft massage, orofacial training, and neurohabilitation when indicated. Children were followed up until 2 years of age within the framework of the Neurodevelopmental Outpatient Clinic of the Institute of Medical Genetics. **Conclusion:** The "Pécs model", integrating early intervention with structured, multidisciplinary follow-up, provides an effective framework for the care of preterm infants. The findings support the importance of organized long-term follow-up in achieving favorable neurodevelopmental outcomes. Orv Hetil. 2026; 167(38): 1516-1522. Bevezetés: A koraszülés jelentős népegészségügyi probléma, amelyhez a túlélés javulásával párhuzamosan egyre nagyobb arányban társulnak hosszú távú fejlődésneurológiai eltérések. A multidiszciplináris, korai intervenciót és strukturált utánkövetést integráló ellátási modellek kulcsszerepet játszanak a kedvezőbb kimenetelek elérésében. Célkitűzés: A jelen tanulmány célja a Pécsi Tudományegyetem Klinikai Központjában alkalmazott, korai intervenciót és hosszú távú fejlődésneurológiai és gyógytorna-utánkövetést integráló ellátási modell („Pécsi modell”) bemutatása, valamint az intézményi utánkövetési adatainak ismertetése. Módszer: Retrospektív, egyközpontú vizsgálat keretében elemeztük a 2015. január 1. A statisztikai elemzéseket IBM SPSS Statistics (verzió: 32.0) szoftverrel végeztük. Eredmények: A vizsgált populáció 27 378 újszülöttet foglalt magában. A terhességi kor növekedésével párhuzamosan javultak a perinatalis mutatók. Következtetés: A „Pécsi modell” a korai intervenció és a strukturált, multidiszciplináris utánkövetés integrált alkalmazásával hatékony ellátási keretet biztosít a koraszülöttek számára. Az eredmények alátámasztják a szervezett, hosszú távú utánkövetés jelentőségét a kedvező fejlődésneurológiai kimenetelek elérésében.
