BOSTON, May 6, 2026 - The American Heart Association has named Brian Christie, a managing director at FTI Consulting, and Alexander B. Roitman, a corporate partner at Seyfarth, as co-chairs of the Lawyers Have Heart 5K, set for Thursday, June 4, at Harpoon Brewery in the Boston Seaport.
The annual road race brings together runners, walkers and wheelchair racers - many from the legal community - to raise awareness about cardiovascular health and support the Association's lifesaving mission. While rooted in the legal profession, the event is open to participants of all backgrounds.
Christie and Roitman are leading efforts to engage law firms, companies and community members across Greater Boston in fundraising and participation, with a focus on expanding access to CPR education and supporting research. As a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere, the American Heart Association is working to ensure more people are prepared to act in a cardiac emergency.
"Cardiac arrest can strike anyone at any time, and the outcome often comes down to whether someone nearby knows what to do," Christie said.
