Biparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was noninferior to multiparametric MRI for per-patient detection of clinically significant prostate cancer, with similar sensitivity and specificity. Adoption of biparametric MRI is reasonable as a streamlined alternative when image quality, standardized acquisition, and experienced interpretation are assured.
