To the Editor We read with great interest the ACTIV-6 study by Bramante et al, which reported that metformin did not significantly shorten the time to sustained recovery among low-risk, predominantly vaccinated, outpatient adults with mild to moderate COVID-19 who were not overweight. While the trial was rigorously designed and contributes important data, several methodological limitations and interpretive concerns warrant further discussion.
