In Reply We thank March et al for their thoughtful letter arguing that accommodations be made in school smartphone bans for children with diabetes who use them as part of a glucose management plan. While other, non–phone-based technological solutions to meet their needs may exist or could easily be developed, in the interim, exceptions should be made on a case-by-case basis. We believe that the benefits of not being distracted during school apply equally to all students.
