Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a rare immune-mediated fibroinflammatory biliary disease that often progresses to cirrhosis and accounts for a disproportionate number of liver transplantations.1–3 Individuals with PSC are prone to complications such as bacterial cholangitis and have an increased risk of cholangio- and colon carcinoma.4 As a result, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography interventions, as well as endoscopic and imaging surveillance, are central to current disease management.
