We thank Tong Zhou for the thoughtful letter1 responding to our position paper.2 Our article presents an interdisciplinary, consensus-validated roadmap to address clinical, operational, infrastructural, educational, and regulatory barriers to safe AI adoption in hepatology. Zhou’s letter highlights four language-focused dimensions relevant for adoption: terminological precision, multilingual adaptation, interpretive challenges and AI literacy. Each of these merit explicit attention and we appreciate the opportunity to expand on these points.
