Acute hyponatremia from water intoxication is life-threatening, often causing altered consciousness or seizures. Head computed tomography (CT) typically shows cerebral edema with ventricular narrowing and sulcal effacement.
However, sequential head CT changes during the course of acute water intoxication have been infrequently documented. Herein, we report sequential imaging in a 61-year-old woman with water intoxication.
