Influenza virus poses a persistent challenge owing to its high antigenic variability. We show that an mRNA-based influenza vaccine generates not only robust influenza virus-specific antibody titers, but also prolonged germinal center B cell responses in humans, resulting in enhanced breadth of antibody binding to antigenically diverse viral strains.
