2 dead after shooting at Missouri hospital parking garage

Two people, including a hospital caregiver, died after a July 2 shooting in the parking garage of Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Mo., according to police and hospital statements shared with Becker’s.

Springfield Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired around 4:50 a.m. in the hospital parking garage. When officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds, a police spokesperson said. One person died at the scene, and the other later died at a hospital.
