Extract We read with great interest the article entitled "Comparison of oronasal and nasal masks in home mechanical ventilation: an observational cohort and bench study" by F resnel et al . [1], which represents a significant contribution to the field by being the first large-scale study to directly compare nasal and oronasal masks in the home noninvasive ventilation (HNIV) setting. We congratulate the authors for the clinical and epidemiological relevance of the topic and for the methodical and clear approach taken.
