We thank Gao and colleagues for their interest in our study and for conducting additional sensitivity analyses using the E-value framework to explore the potential impact of unmeasured confounding on the association between hypertension and adverse clinical outcomes metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).1,2 Their analysis provides an informative quantitative perspective, suggesting that the observed associations are relatively robust to the potential influence of unmeasured confounding.
