Endocrine Society Introduces Rare Endocrine Disease Fellowship

The Endocrine Society has announced the launch of its Rare Endocrine Disease (RED) Fellows Program, aimed at supporting early-career physicians by providing essential knowledge and skills to enhance care outcomes for individuals affected by rare endocrine diseases. This program has been developed in collaboration with the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and seeks to fill critical gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and awareness of these conditions.

The RED Fellows Program features two main components. First, it includes an immersive in-person workshop scheduled for April 17-18 at the Endocrine Society's headquarters located in downtown Washington, D.C. This workshop will give fellows the opportunity to engage with leading experts in the field, participate in interactive discussions based on clinical cases, and access the NORD rare patient panel.

In addition to the workshop, the program offers five on-demand, multi-module courses that include short micro-lessons focused on different rare endocrine diseases. Up to 50 domestic fellows will be accepted into the program, with a nomination deadline for program directors and faculty set for March 2, 2026.
