BHUBANESWAR: 92.7 BIG FM recently organised the Big Health Excellence Awards 2026 in the city to celebrate the dedication and work of medical professionals in Odisha. The event recognised the contributions of doctors, hospitals, diagnostic centres, healthcare institutions and wellness professionals for their service and commitment to excellence in healthcare.
The awards ceremony brought together members of the healthcare community and invited guests from the medical and media sectors. Former director of health services and special secretary in the Health and Family Welfare department Bijay Kumar Mohapatra and noted physician CBK Mohanty attended the event. They were joined by senior cluster head at 92.7 BIG FM Danish Khureshi, BIG FM DGM Ashis Hota and Ollywood actor and dentist Bhoomika Dash.
Several institutional awards were presented during the programme. Hi-Tech Group of Institutions received the award for Best Hospital for Affordable Healthcare. SUM Ultimate Medicare was named Best Multispecialty Hospital. Sushruta Hospital and Trauma Care was recognised as the Best Trauma Care Hospital in Odisha, while Usthi Hospital received the award for Best Mother and Child Care Hospital.
The event also acknowledged diagnostic service providers. Spandan Diagnostic Centre and Spandan Advance Medicare were felicitated for Best Diagnostic Services and for being the Largest Diagnostic Chain in India.
Kalinga Hospital Limited was also honoured with Excellence Awards for its services in cardiology, gynecology, nephrology, neuroscience and critical care.
