Deonna Taylor has been named vice president and chief nursing officer of adult ambulatory nursing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after serving in the role on an interim basis since February.
Deonna Taylor, PhD, ACNP, RN, has been named vice president and chief nursing officer of adult ambulatory nursing at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She had been serving in the role on an interim basis since February.
Dr. Taylor succeeds Michele Hasselblad, DNP, RN, who was named chief nursing officer of Vanderbilt University Hospital earlier this year. In her new position, Dr. Taylor will continue overseeing nursing practice across more than 400 ambulatory clinical sites in Middle Tennessee.
Those sites include diagnostic, surgical, infusion, primary care, specialty care and home-based services. According to the source, Dr. Taylor’s priorities include expanding standardized technology processes across ambulatory locations and strengthening specialty services through systemwide, evidence-based clinical practice.
