A correction to a study on chikungunya virus in Brazil has been issued, updating the mean case fatality ratio.
A correction has been issued for the article discussing the chikungunya virus epidemiology in Brazil and vaccine impact, published by Cortes-Azuero et al. in The Lancet Infectious Diseases. The revised text in the Results section now states, “the mean case fatality ratio (of confirmed cases) was 0·35% (95% CI 0·34–0·37).” This amendment was made to the online version on February 13, 2026, and will also appear in the printed edition.
