On February 15, Jordan launched a new cancer strategy, including clinical guidelines and collaboration for childhood cancer treatment.
On February 15, coinciding with World Childhood Cancer Day, Jordan introduced three interconnected initiatives aimed at improving cancer care. These include the National Cancer Control Strategy for 2026–2030, the development of six clinical guidelines for pediatric cancer, and entry into the Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines. The initiatives were announced at an event organized by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, under the patronage of Princess Ghida Talal from the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and the King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman. Civil society organizations supporting cancer patients also participated in the event to enhance patient engagement.
