Sacituzumab Govitecan with Pembrolizumab Shows Promise in Bladder Cancer Treatment

In a phase 2 study focusing on muscle-invasive bladder cancer, perioperative treatment with sacituzumab govitecan along with pembrolizumab demonstrated a notable clinical complete response rate. Importantly, the study reported no instances of grade 4 or higher adverse events, making this approach potentially safe for patients. Approximately 40% of those treated achieved sustained remission, allowing for bladder preservation. These results suggest a promising avenue for further exploration in bladder cancer therapy.
