At Vidcon in Anaheim, STAT’s Alex Hogan noted that the conference devoted unusual attention to the mental health of content creators.
I was recently in Anaheim, Calif., for Vidcon, the year’s largest conference for social video creators. As someone who makes YouTube and Instagram videos for STAT, I’ve attended before, but this year I noticed how much of the programming centered on the mental health of content creators.
I have previously written about the mental health effects of consuming social video. This time, I wanted to hear more about the people behind the posts — the creators who put themselves on social media and often reach audiences in the millions. The source does not provide additional details about the conference sessions or what was discussed, but it makes clear that creator mental health was a major theme.
